Event Details:
The 13th Amendment abolished slavery in America. However, just a few words in that amendment led to the mass incarceration of black Americans in the United States. Today, black men have a 1 in 3 chance of being impriosned in their lifetime, compared to a 1 in 17 chance for white men.
OFA presents 13th, Ava DuVernay's powerful Academy Award-nominated documentary tracing the history from slave to criminal on Thursday, May 4, at 6:00 p.m.
Free pizza!
Doors open at 6:00pm, screening begins at 6:30pm.
