Miami Woman Says Married Basketball Star Amar'e Stoudemire Is The Father of Her 1-Year-Old Daughter
Six-time NBA All-Star Amar’e Stoudemire has been slapped with a lawsuit by a woman named Quynn Lovett, who alleges he fathered her daughter last year.

Stoudemire, a married father of four, has acknowledged he could be the father of young Zoe Renee. He is paying $4,333 a month in temporary child support as a result.

Lovett, 36, is seeking full custody and permanent child-support payments in the lawsuit. She claims Stoudemire has not been involved in her daughter’s life, nor has he contributed to paying off the $11,000 in hospital bills from the birth.

According to court documents, Lovett is unemployed and is not even looking for a job  because she wants to focus on raising the child. Her 2016 income was $2,983. Of course, that was before Stoudemire started sending her money.

The basketball star responded to Lovett’s allegations by calling the suit “frivolous,” as he had been “informed of his paternity several months after the child was born.” Stoudemire said a child-support payment plan has been in place since Nov. 1.

This isn’t the first time Lovett has gone after Stoudemire for child support. Records in Lovett's native Massachusetts also show she originally sued Stoudemire in Middlesex County in November 2016. The case was dismissed in March, and she filed in Florida a month later.

Stoudemire married Alexis Welch in 2012 on the rooftop of their Greenwich Village apartment. The couple started dating in 2002 after meeting at a Nelly concert in Phoenix. They became engaged in May 2012. The couple have four children together.

Stoudemire has always gushed over his wife of five years. Amar'e told Essence in 2012, "She’s a passionate mother, and she’s very supportive and encouraging, but I probably love Alexis’ heart the most.”

Stoudemire started his NBA career with the Phoenix Suns in 2002, spending his first 12½ seasons with the Suns and the New York Knicks, before finishing his NBA career with the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat.

He left the Miami Heat last summer for a two-year deal to play for an Israeli team. He inked a two-year deal with Hapoel Jerusalem last August.

Stoudemire may be facing more than child support on one child if his wife Alexis decides to divorce her cheating husband. He could face paying child support on his four kids with Alexis!

The couple have not commented on the lawsuit or affair yet publicly.
