Uh…

The premiere of the two-part biopic, “The Bobby Brown Story” on BET is upon us. Finally.

The miniseries, produced by Bobby Brown himself, chronicled his ups and downs. He has chatted about the topics that will pop up in multiple interviews thus far, so we doubt there will be any surprises.

One of the many storylines in play seems to center in on his past relationship with Janet Jackson.

Apparently, the dynamic between them turned so messy at one point that he kicked her out of his hotel room after an argument. Oof.

Bobby has long been open about the fact that he was head-over-heels for the musician. He told US Weekly back in 2016 that Janet didn’t feel the same way about him.

“I fell in love with [Janet] when she was Penny on Good Times,” he said. “It goes back that far, you know, my infatuation with her.”

He confessed that he thought Janet would leave her then-husband René Elizondo Jr. for him, but it soon became clear that their affair had to come to an end when “she told me she wasn’t in love with me”.

“She loved me but wasn’t in love with me,” he noted, before adding that the singer told him, “My father won’t allow me to be with a black man.”

At that, he allegedly kicked her out of the hotel room where they had been “lying in bed after [making love].”

“I exploded and I threw her out [naked],” he shared. Oof.

On-screen in the biopic, “Bobby” and “Janet” can be seen bickering over James DeBarge, whom Janet wed in 1984. When an infuriated Janet gets up to leave, Bobby declares, “You too good to be in my room, then you can get the hell out of here!”

Oh and in a clip from the biopic, Bobby surprises Janet with a big birthday gift; a car. However, thanks to her marriage and her father Joe Jackson, when Bobby showed up to her front door with the vehicle in tow, she was less than thrilled.

Obviously, the project will also address his turbulent 15-year drug-addled marriage to Whitney Houston, which should be interesting to see. Hope that they approach this respectfully. Right? Especially since it seems that they will cover her tragic passing (and that of their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown).

The Boston Herald believes that many scenes seem to set out to vilify Whitney, including one where Bobby suffers a stroke; in it, she kicks him.

Hm. Beyond that, it seems that the biopic also attempts to back up Bobby’s claims that he did not introduce Whitney to heavy drug use.

“I didn’t introduce drugs to Whitney at all. We did drugs together,” he once told Steve Harvey. “There was no introducing her to anything. She already knew what she knew about drugs […] I mean, when I was growing up with New Edition, we smoked weed, we drank beers, and things like that. I didn’t get into really heavy drugs until I met Whitney.”
