Brandi Maxiell Blasts Shaunie; Claims ‘Basketball Wives’ Producers Begged Her & Malaysia to Come Back

As we all have seen by now, Brandi Maxiell is officially back full-time on VH1’s Basketball Wives and now she’s speaking out about her return. It was once thought that she was gone for good after she attacked the character of the show’s creator, Shaunie O’Neal, however it looks like those who are fired, can always come back.

In previous seasons of Basketball Wives, Brandi has been fired, rehired, fired, and now she's back again. The Dallas native and her bestie Malaysia Pargo are claiming that the the show’s producers (not named Shaunie O’Neal) begged them to come back on the show. The reason being – “that the other ladies were/are boring and wack and the producers couldn't pull one episode out of 3 months of filming the group.”

Which is kind of hard to believe since Shaunie, Tami, and Evelyn have been making BBW popular since before Malaysia or Brandi were a thought. Also, the Basketball Wives Miami OG's were brought back to liven up the once L.A. franchise since it was going stale.

Anyway, angered by comments made on the show by Shaunie, Brandi went on Twitter to call out the creator and executive producer.

Responding to Shaunie's “no substance comment” about Brandi, Brandy pointed out that she has a degree, survived cancer, owns a salon, makeup line, trucking company, and does speaking engagements.

It’s funny how she can fit all of that into a 140 character tweet but can’t get all of it across on the show. (Light Shade, We Know). We all know that Brandi suffered from cancer, but the rest is new information. Maybe she should worry more about her position on the show and less about Shaunie.

During a tense situation, Evelyn admitted to Malaysia that her return to the show involved both her and Brandi not coming back. Clearly, Evelyn didn’t get her wish.

Now there’s a line drawn in the sand, dividing the group with Evelyn, Shaunie, and Tami (BBW Miami OG’s) on one side with Malaysia, Jackie Christie, and Brandi (BBWLA OG’s) are on the other side.
