Watch: Cardi B Spills The Tea Behind 'Motorsport' Drama With Nicki Minaj
The supposed rivalry between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B has been a hot topic for years.

Guess what? You are probably going to be hearing more about it in the near future because Cardi B has revealed an interesting bit of information about her verse on “Motorsport" and we’re pretty sure Nicki Minaj will NOT be happy about this.

She recently sat down with Capital XTRA (while overseas in London) and shed some light on all the nonsense; people had been theorizing that she had been added to the track without Nicki’s knowledge. Hence all the supposedly sneaky disses popping up in the song.

"Well, when I heard the track, her verse wasn't finished," Cardi B noted. "Or it's not the verse that's [on there] right now. And Quavo told me that to get on the song, and I just felt like it's a perfect opportunity for me to be on a track that's big like them. Cause those are two big people, and I just started in the game. And I just know if I get on this record, it's gonna be crazy. Like, who doesn't want it?"

She also shared that she had spoken to Nicki in-person once before, but left it at that. Yup.

Take a look at Cardi's full remarks on the making of "Motorsport" below:

Cardi and Nicki have previously tried to set the record straight about their dynamic or whatever (even just in terms of this specific “collaboration” actually).

Cardi touched on her reaction to the bad buzz, explaining, “It’s so annoying. I feel like people wouldn’t even be satisfied even if me and her was making out on a freaking photo […] Or, if I was with any other female artist. I feel like people just want that drama because it’s just entertaining.”

And Miss Minaj tweeted, “I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it. He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said ‘ok let’s do it’. The end. […] Migos weren’t even on it yet. Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe. Imagine me not knowing who on a song w/me”.

“Anything w/my name on it gets approved by me. It can’t even go on a streaming service w/o me hearing it & giving written approval.”

Moving on.
