Stevie J is in the middle of a pretty intense legal situation.

And it isn’t getting any better.

The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star is in big trouble with a federal judge yet again, after he admitted to criminality in his very, very expensive child support case.

(In February 2017, Stevie confessed that he failed to pay child support; he was ordered to hand over $1,304,835.86. The music producer was later given a plea deal and was sentenced to three years of probation.)

Stevie J was back in front of Judge Paul Crotty on Thursday, where he pled guilty to not turning over details of his income, skipping out on drug tests and traveling out of state without his probation officer’s permission.

Yikes.

Yup. The Feds want him behind bars, believing that Stevie has thumbed his nose at them one time too many.

“We are seeking an incarceratory sentence,” federal prosecutor Kathleen Reilly told the judge. “This is a case where there is a pattern of noncompliance…I think he’s been afforded repeated opportunities, but has failed to take this seriously.”

Hm. His attorney Xavier Donaldson claimed that Stevie had been turning over his finance information every month to his probation officer and travelled to film his reality show. He did acknowledge that Stevie missed the drug tests, but insists he had passed his most recent test on April 28th with flying colors.

Oh but it also emerged at the hearing that Stevie paid just a quarter (or $25,000) of the $100,000 he promised to pay at his last court date April 10th.

“I don’t think a lack of cooperation for some documents should take someone’s liberty away,” Donaldson shared. “Locking up young folk when they are working is always a bad idea.”

But Judge Crotty is over it, saying that it was “troublesome” that Stevie was still not up to date on his child support. He ordered Stevie to hand over his income information to his probation officer immediately and to return to court in two weeks for possible sentencing.

This case is pretty back-and-forth messiness.

Stevie once shared that he felt he was being “extorted”.

Stevie is the father to six children. He has a son named Dorian with Rhonda Henderson, daughter Sade with Felicia Stover, son Steven Jordan Jr and daughter Savannah Jordan with Carol Antoinette Bennett, daughter Eva with Mimi Faust, and Bonnie Bella Jordan with Joseline Hernandez.
