The fate of incarcerated rapper Bobby Shmurda just went from bad to worse with today's ruling...

Bobby Shmurda GS9 Associate Rashid Derissant Sentenced To 98 Years To Life

Even though I haven’t played the song in a while if I was to hear Bobby Shmurda say “About a week ago”, I would immediately jump up and get it! Well the only thing Bobby and his peeps seem to be currently getting is jail time!

Bobby has been evading his sentencing by getting his trial dates pushed back. He pushed it back for the second time on May 12th. Although he now has four more months before his fate is to be decided, his good friend wasn’t so lucky.

Rashid Derissant is a member of the GS9 gang, the same gang that Mr. Shmurda is also an affiliate of. Derissant is only 24 years old and had 22 counts being brought against him. It included a Reckless Endangerment in the first degree and a second degree murder charge!

It took a stressful eight weeks and four days to come to this final deliberation, but he was in fact found guilty.

He was not alone, his 22-year-old homeboy Alex Crandon was by his side and got charged for almost the exact same counts, give or take a few differences.

The Manhattan Supreme Court jury found them guilty on charges of Conspiracy in the Second and Fourth Degrees, Murder in the Second Degree, multiple counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Assault in the First and Second Degrees, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, and Criminal Use of a Firearm in the First Degree.

Rashid seems to be getting the bulk of the media press because of his whopping 98 1/3 years to life sentencing.

With all of this going around, everyone is wondering what Shmurda is thinking and/or feeling. He has managed to dip out on his sentencing, but how long will they really allow him to continue doing so? He is facing the same charges and you know they will come at him harder since he is the “celebrity” involved.

So we are sounding off, what do you think is in the cards for Bobby? Will he get one more pass and have his trial pushed back again or is this last time really the last time? Is the GS9 and "Brooklyn's Most Wanted" (or "BMW") rivalry over? Or has it only just begun?
