Did JAY-Z Just Publicly Admit To Cheating On Beyoncé?

Did JAY-Z Just Publicly Admit To Cheating On Beyoncé?
Beyoncé's Lemonade was a excellent treat of an album for many reasons. It was political. It was ground-breaking. It was emotional.

It also exposed an assortment of alleged infidelities and highlighted the frayed fabric of Bey and Jay’s marriage.

When it first came out, there were mutterings that Jay-Z would be releasing his own no-holds-barred musical response, to which we laughed and imagined telling him that this should be nothing other than a 10-track-length loop of him apologizing to his wife for all of the “Becky with the good hair” nonsense over and over again.

Well, his latest project has finally popped up and it is not QUITE what we suggested…but it does broach some gossip-worthy topics.

Titled 4:44 (you know the Carters love their numbers), it is already being hailed by many as his most authentic yet, despite the fact that it was only released at midnight Friday morning via his music-sharing app TIDAL and Sprint.

The song that has everyone talking though is the title track.

In it, Jay raps about how ashamed he is of something, sharing that he is fearful that his children will one day find out about this secret; “And if my children knew, I don’t even know what I would do.”
Take a look at the some other choice lyrics and decide whether these are as headline-worthy as the world seems to think they are:

“If they ain’t look at me the same, I would prob’ly die with all the shame.”

“You did what with who? / What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate? / You risked that for Blue?”

“If I wasn’t a superhero in your face / My heart breaks for the day I had to explain my mistakes / And the mask goes away and Santa Claus is fake / And you go online and see.”

Deep stuff.
