Lil' Wayne Advised To Rest For Two Weeks As Real Reason For Multiple Seizures Explained

Lil Wayne was released from a local hospital two days after being found unconscious in a Chicago hotel room, after suffering seizures. Doctors have ordered the rapper to take time off to recuperate.

There were rumors that Weezy's seizures were caused by taking sizzurp, but sources close to the rapper reveal he was operating with little sleep.

Wayne will be taking off at least two weeks to recuperate from his latest health issues as ordered by his physicians.

Doctors have advised Wayne to not overexert himself on his upcoming concert schedule. An insider revealed he performs nonstop and his hectic schedule is taking its toll on the hip-hop star.

Wayne's 18-year-old daughter, Reginae Carter, updated concerned fans on her father's health earlier this week. She took to Twitter to write, "My dad is doing fine everyone! Thanks for the concerns. you guys are amazing."

She also addressed the sizzurp rumors, later adding, "Oh yeah .. & don't believe everything you hear."

TMZ had reported that Wayne was making no effort to hide his sizzurp consumption, frequently appearing on stage with a "double cup" in hand in recent weeks.

There were rumors that Wayne overdosed on sizzurp Sunday night, but his team maintains the seizures are a result of epilepsy.

The "Lollipop" rapper's latest health woes come a year after he was treated for suffering two minor seizures.

Back in 2013, it was reported that Wayne was near death after suffering a round of grand mal seizures.
Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., revealed years ago that he was epileptic and prone to seizures.

Weezy opened up about his seizures in 2013. "The bad news is I'm an epileptic, I'm prone to seizures," he said during an interview with Los Angeles radio station Power 106 at the time. "Like, this isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures, y'all just never hear about them."

Wayne added, "But this time it got real bad 'cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent. Basically, I could've died, so that is why it was so serious. But the reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself."

In June 2016, he reportedly suffered seizures while aboard a private jet. The aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Nebraska.

Weezy had been scheduled to perform in Las Vegas on Sunday night, but was forced to cancel his show to rest.
