Maia Campbell Responds To LL CooL J's Plea For A Drug Intervention — Watch
LL Cool J recently tapped into the powers of social media to attempt to get in contact with his former co-star Maia Campbell; he asked his followers to let him know if they knew how to connect with her. Maia had previously been filmed by unrepentant tool T-Hood; in the clip (which was splashed all across the web), she could be heard begging for drugs at a gas station.

Now, she is back with a video that seems to be an attempt to show that she is doing just fine. And it is…pretty sad and not at all as effective as you might be imagining right now.

She thanks Todd — LL Cool J’s real name is James Todd Smith — for his concern before saying that she doesn’t need help, she needs a bank account for mental health. At least we think that is what she is saying? It’s kind of hard to understand since she keeps covering her mouth, right?

She also states that she has investments and that she temps at the [barber] shop where the video is being filmed.

Maia then basically tells LL not to get in touch with her; she says that she is on Instagram, but that she doesn’t want it [the intervention] to do down, so “don’t DM” her. Yikes.

When Darryl (the guy filming the video) pushed for a serious response from Maia, she incoherently said, "I don't know. Pray to God... that I don't start rapping. Oops!"

This is super upsetting. Her body language throughout the clip is pretty odd too. Maybe she is just uncomfortable, but yikes all around.

But understand this...you really do need to get some assistance Maia as it's publicly documented that you have struggled with substance abuse throughout the years. We don't believe you're okay nor do be believe that you have the support system necessary to overcome this.

Please accept LL Cool J's assistance.
