"Cosby Show" Star Malcolm-Jamal Warner Is A Daddy!
Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who is best known for his role as Theo Huxtable on “The Cosby Show” has welcomed his first child. There are few details available, but a longtime friend spilled the beans on his baby news.

Phynjuar Thomas, a friend of Warner's whose daughter Michelle Thomas dated the actor, revealed the actor's baby is about one week old.

Thomas' daughter, Michelle Thomas, played Warner's girlfriend on “The Cosby Show” from 1988 until 1990. Warner was there by Michelle's side when she died of cancer in 1998 at the age of 30. He remained close to Phynjuar.

Thomas said, "I love him. I hope they name the baby after me. Phynjuar is a beautiful name."

The mother of Malcolm-Jamal's child is an attorney from Bridgeport, Connecticut. The actor and attorney are said to be "very much in love."

This is the first child for Warner, although he has been in several serious relationships, including Michelle Thomas. Warner went on to romance his “Cosby Show” cast mate Karen Malina White for almost eight years before dating Emmy winner Regina King

Malcolm-Jamal admitted that he previously had a serious crush on his “Cosby Show” co-star, Lisa Bonet, but nothing became of it. “I never had a shot,” he told Access Hollywood Live years ago. “You know when you have a shot or not.”

There was recently speculation that Warner would attend Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial in Philadelphia, which went to the jury for deliberation on Monday. Malcolm-Jamal was a no-show, but he has been busy with work and obviously bonding with his newborn.

Warner's co-star, Keshia Knight Pulliam, was spotted arm-in-arm with Cosby during one trial date in Philadelphia. Pulliam played the role of Rudy Huxtable, the youngest child of Cliff and Clair Huxtable on the NBC sitcom "The Cosby Show."

Landed in Atlanta at 5:35 am. Back on a plane by 9pm. My two highlights: having lunch with this one and her beautiful 2 month old, Ella Grace, and upon receiving a #Legendaryaward, sharing with the audience how much I love this woman and how proud of her I am. #wegobacklikerockingchairs #fam #nextgeneration #newparentlife #2017legendaryawards. Repost from @keshiaknightpulliam So happy to see @malcolmjamalwar ... even if it was only for a moment!! #Family #UncleMalcolm 😂😂😂 #instarepost20

Warner is best known for his role as Theo Huxtable on "The Cosby Show" and as Malcolm McGee on the UPN sitcom "Malcolm & Eddie."  The actor also starred as Dr. Alex Reed in the sitcom "Reed Between the Lines" and was nominated for Outstanding Actor in a comedy series at the NAACP Image awards in 2012.
Malcolm-Jamal played the role of Al Cowlings in the crime series "American Crime Story", based on the events of the O.J. Simpson trial.

Warner has also played recurring characters on several current television series. He played prison counselor Julius Rowe on the sixth season of USA network's "Suits." And he portrayed Lt. Chuck Cooper, a member of the LAPD's Special Investigation's Section (SIS) and the love interest of the Major Crime Division's Detective Amy Sykes, on the TNT series "Major Crimes". In addition, Warner plays the role of parole officer James Bagwell on Amazon Prime's show "Sneaky Pete."
