Mary J. Blige Calls Ex-Husband Kendu Isaacs A "Con-Artist" As She Drags Him In New Interview
To say that Mary J. Blige’s split with Martin “Kendu” Isaacs was a disaster is an extreme understatement. Their thirteen year marriage ended with a bang and the drama has been spinning out of control since their divorce was announced.

Well, how is the songstress extraordinaire holding up?

“I’m doing OK,” Mary J. recently told Variety. “I’m living. I’m not happy about a lot of things. I thought someone loved me, right? Turns out, he was a con artist and he didn’t. And now he’s coming after me for all my money.”

Yeah, his past decisions have left a lot of people wrinkling their brows, so we can’t say that we are all too shocked to hear this accusation. Are you?

He may even have threatened to stick the feds on her if she didn’t cough up the reported $110,000 A MONTH he was requesting. That’s not a typo, folks.

Mary J. Blige and her soon-to-be-ex husband Kendu Isaacs may be in the process of getting a divorce, but they are still joined at the hip when it comes to money matters.

Oh and remember how he seemingly tried to get back in her good graces after her performance at the BET Awards a few months ago? It was FISHY. Then there was that alleged hacking incident.
Plenty of weirdness, that’s all we are saying. Oh and we aren’t even going to TOUCH that Starshell stuff (Mary J. Blige's fromer protégé who's Mary J. Blige accuses of sleeping with Kendu).

“When you come out of something like that, you realize you were never the one,” she went on to explain. “There was someone else that was his queen. I got played. I got suckered. I have to keep smiling and keep my spirits up because this is designed to kill me.”

She also dished on her role in upcoming project Mudbound; “I just had all the heaviness of not feeling right, not feeling good. I gave it to Florence [her character]”.

Dee Rees, who directed the film, apparently implemented a no-weave or wig requirement on-set , which helped Blige tap into her character and her insecurities. “For a long time, I didn’t want people to see my hair. I don’t know why […] “I’m not as vain. That’s the thing about Florence that I love. I got the chance to be pure.”

Well, Mary, just keep on working and moving forward. Fingers crossed, this will all be behind you soon.

Watch trailer for Mudbound below. The film will be released on Netflix and in select theaters November 17.
