Mona Scott-Young Does A Mass Firing & Revamps Cast Of ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ For Season 9
It is reality show casting news season, evidently!

Content creator and Executive Producer Mona Scott Young is apparently revamping the castlist for Season 9 of “Love & Hip-Hop NY”.

Why? Reportedly, poor ratings and a bad reception to Season 8 storylines. Um, yeah, it was kind of a snoozefest, overall.

A BOSSIP source is claiming that Mona did a mass firing of the majority of the cast… but the good news is some of your favorites will be back! Joe Budden and Cyn Santana are going to be a big focal point.

Oh, that is nice. Hope they show off their adorable baby boy.

Joe Budden was initially on Love And Hip Hop long ago, but he left the show, claiming that it had become "toxic." Cyn Santana was previously in a storyline relationship with Erica Mena on the show for a while. Going forward, Cyn and Joe's dynamic for Season 9 will be shown “in a positive light. Don't expect any [messiness]."

Kimbella & Juelz Santana are also back.

Maino and his girlfriend Maggie Carrie are joining the cast and reportedly going to get plenty of air-time.

So, if this is all true, only nine members from season 8 had their contracts renewed!

Yandy Smith, Jonathon Fernandez, Kiyanne, Jacquae, Anais, Ruben (Anais Husband), Rich Dollaz and Safaree will be popping up on your screen soon, while Remy Ma will reportedly be scaling back her appearances some (à la K. Michelle in Season 4) and presumably Papoose will be involved as well.

I love me some him😍 #MeetTheMackies #BlackLove #RemyMa #RemyMafia

Not in the mood to do any mental math?

Okay, okay. Snoop, Dreamdoll, Mariahlynn, Brittaney Taylor, Bianca Bonnie, Lil Mo, Karl Dargan, Navarro Gray, DJ Self, James R, Ashley Diaz, Sophia Body, Grafh and Ayisha Diaz seem to be out. JuJu too, though it is being said that there are some cameo appearances in the works.

Funnily enough, it was previously reported that MariahLynn, Bianca, Dreamdoll and Brittany Taylor were all sent packing for a kind of interesting reason.

“All of those girls were too much drama, not enough storyline. They were making the show more like the WWE than a TV show," an insider had told MTO News.

Wow. Oh and people in the know are insisting that those behind-the-scenes are implementing a no-violence policy?

Love & Hip Hop: New York—initially known as simply Love & Hip Hop—is the original installment of the Love & Hip Hop reality television franchise on VH1. The series premiered on March 6, 2011 and chronicles the lives of several people in New York City (and nearby areas, including New Jersey and Yonkers), who are involved one way or another with the hip hop industry.

Its success has produced the spin-offs Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Chrissy & Mr. Jones, Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, K. Michelle: My Life, Stevie J & Joseline: Go Hollywood, Leave It To Stevie and Love & Hip Hop: Miami.

Will these rumored casting changes compel you to tune in for the next season? Or not so much?
