Meek Mill's Lawyer Suggests A Song By Boyz II Men Led To Harsh Probation Violation Sentence — Video
Meek Mill was just sentenced to 2-4 years behind bars for a probation violation.

Now, his lawyer is pinning the blame for this development on a song.

The attorney is now reportedly implying that a Boyz II Men tune played a part in his client being imprisoned yet again.

TMZ is reporting that Meek Mill’s lawyer Joe Tacopina claims the judge suggested that Meek do a remake of Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee" during a meeting in chambers last year. She supposedly wanted a shout-out.

Meek apparently thought she was joking and laughed. Joe insists that she then said, “I'm not kidding,"
When Meek refused to do it, she replied, "Okay, suit yourself."

“I gave you break after break, and you basically just thumbed your nose at this court,” Brinkley reportedly told Meek.

"I may have made a mistake but I never had the intention of disrespecting you," he replied.

A prosecutor has recommended he not be sent back to prison, stating that Meek had not taken drugs since January and that he has grown as a person since the original weapon and drug case in 2008. Has he though?

Meek’s legal team feels that Judge Brinkley showed a clear bias against the rapper. They are vowing to appeal the court's decision.

#HotShot #JayZ speaks on #MeekMill 2-4 year prison sentence. Thoughts?

Are you surprised that the judge decided to throw the book at Meek? He usually just gets a slap on the wrist for his shenanigans (or a few weeks in jail).

His list of previous offenses is rather long. His initial arrest happened back in 2008, when he was convicted of drug dealing and gun possession. At the time, he spent eight months in prison. Meek has since finagled his way into the hot seat quite a few times for violating probation in the years since his arrest.

Meek (who was born Robert Williams) was also supposedly arrested in March after a fight at a St. Louis airport, although the charges were later dropped. He also pleaded guilty to reckless driving in October after he posted videos of himself on social media doing wheelies on a dirt bike with no helmet in the streets of New York City.
