Mel B Ordered to Pay Allegedly Abusive Ex A Crazy Amount In Spousal Support
Mel B is not a happy camper after a judge ordered her to pay her estranged husband, Stephen Belafonte, a whopping $40,000 a month in temporary spousal support.

The former Spice Girl had objected to paying spousal support due to her domestic violence allegations against Belafonte.

Belafonte claims he was Mel's business manager and is currently working on a new restaurant in Los Angeles, but has not made any money off of the eatery yet.

The spousal support was back dated to May 12, 2017 and Mel B also has to pay him $100,000 in legal fees and $40,000 in forensic accounting fees.

The "America's Got Talent" judge's mother tweeted about the ruling, writing, "This would never happen in England disgusted with this news."

Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, and her estranged hubby were criticized by the Superior Court judge, who slammed them for living beyond their means.

He addressed the former couple, stating, "In particular, the court notes that while the baseline is the marital standard of living status quo, where, as here, the parties lived beyond their means, the Court ought not to aspire necessarily to reproduce that standard of living... for the parties. The Court notes a preliminary baseline figure the four year average of Ebersbacher's estimates of the parties' unallocated 'personal living expenses... this is $51,000 a month. This is at substantial variance with both parties' income and expense declarations, that is, both parties claim far more in monthly expenses."

The 14-page court document showed that Mel and Stephen accused one another of fleeing with "hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of community (i.e. joint) property dollars."

Mel B and Stephen split back in April of 2017 after 10 years of marriage.
Mel alleged in court documents that she suffered years of emotional and physical abuse during their union. She claimed that Belafonte hit her, attacked her self-confidence, cheated on her with their nanny, forced her to have threesomes, and isolated her from her family.

The singer claimed the alleged abuse drove her to attempt suicide in 2014, but she couldn't go through with it. Mel B stated that Stephen locked her in a bedroom when she attempted to seek help. She later obtained a restraining order against him. He was also ordered to stay away from her children. She has a daughter with Belafonte and two other children from previous relationships.
