Here's Why Mo'Nique Stands By Her Savage Comments About Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels & Oprah [VIDEO]
Mo'Nique went off on Lee Daniels (as well as Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey) during a stand-up show at the Apollo over the weekend. The comedian stands by her comments, insisting she was telling the truth about Daniels being on a campaign to 'blackball' her in Hollywood. "The Parkers" star makes it clear she is unbothered by any possible backlash after speaking the truth.

Mo'Nique was allegedly labeled 'difficult to work with' by Daniels and pretty much ruined her reputation in Hollywood. However, Mo'Nique stands by her remarks and opens up about the situation during an interview with TMZ.

The comedian and her husband, Sidney Hicks, said that Mo'Nique was asked about being 'blackballed' and simply told it like it is!

During her Mother's Day gig at The Apollo, Mo'Nique blasted Daniels, Oprah, and Perry for their roles in hurting her career.

She told the crowd, "I was not 'black-balled', I was 'white-balled' by some Black [expletive] who have no [expletive]. Thank you, Mr. Lee Daniels, thank you, Mr. Tyler Perry, thank you, Ms. Oprah Winfrey... ya'll can suck my [expletive] if I had one."

Mo added, "I know they about to say, 'Mo'Nique, you talk too [expletive] much', [but] it would kill me not to say the real [expletive]."

Mo'Nique compared herself to one of her comedy heroes, Richard Pryor, saying, “The reason why we love Richard Pryor was because of what?”
“The truth,” Hicks finished for her.

“The truth, baby,” Mo’Nique stated. “He told the truth. And there were people that said, ‘Oh, how can you say that?’ And is it coming from my heart? Everything I say comes from my heart. I’m not apologetic about it.”

Hicks explained how his wife's rant came about, saying, “She started off by saying simply, ‘People keep asking me about the blackball.’ And then she began to share the information regarding the blackball.”

Hicks also said that Oprah and Perry had a part in the blackballing, alleging that “they stood by” when in fact, “What people don’t know is in between the sets of Precious, Mo’Nique was sitting with Lee Daniels eating crab legs. That doesn’t sound like you’re having a difficult time with someone.”

Mo’Nique refuses to back down and stands by her comments. She said, "We not no hiders, we not no runners. And when a sister says to me, ‘Aren’t you afraid of the blowback?’ what I would say to you as another woman, ‘Aren’t you afraid to even ask the question am I afraid of the blowback?’ because you would say, ‘Am I getting blowback for simply being honest?'”
