Nene Leakes Responds to Kenya Moore's Shade on "The Breakfast Club"

Real Housewives of Atlanta “OG” NeNe Leakes is not too happy with recent remarks made by Kenya Moore.

Kenya recently made a visit to The Breakfast Club and she decided to speak on NeNe’s pockets. Everyone knows that NeNe doesn’t play about her coins.

During the interview, Kenya was asked about the return of NeNe and Kim Zolciak. There have been rumors that NeNe will be getting $2.5 million to return to the franchise.

According to Kenya, that’s impossible. Kenya says that there’s no way that the show would offer NeNe double the money to come back when the show's ratings held steady after she left. She thinks that the ladies proved that they could hold their own with NeNe, so there’s no way that extra money would be spent on someone who doesn’t affect the ratings significantly.

When it came to Kim, Kenya simply replied that she needed a check so she came back. Most of this comes from the fact that she and Kim got into it during the last episode. However, Kim has held her own spinoff show Don’t Be Tardy for years after she left RHOA, and she’s had good ratings.

NeNe posted a screenshot of the interview on Instagram with the caption “The ratings was up but the brand was down, just be quiet, NeNe”. The post was in reference to statements that Kenya made concerning the show’s ratings and the need to bring back NeNe

The fact is NeNe Leakes built the RHOA brand. She’s a fan favorite and everyone loves her on the show. It’s not impossible that she would receive $2.5 million especially if she demanded it. As of today, she is the breakout star of the franchise and her career has grown so much to the point that she is allowed to demand that type of money.
