Nick Gordon Won't Be Charged For 6-Hour Beating Of Ex-Girlfriend: Find Out Why!
Nick Gordon, who was found legally responsible for the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown in 2015, will not go to court after being accused of beating his then-girlfriend in June.

Laura Leal had accused Gordon of holding her down to a bed and punching her for hours during a drunken rage in Florida. However, Leal has now taken back her claims and told the judge she wanted the case shut down.

Prosecutors were forced to drop the charges against Gordon because Leal was the only witness in the incident.

Gordon was arrested after the violent altercation at their home in Arbor Lakes Apartments on June 10. Authorities wanted to charge Nick with felony false imprisonment because he prevented his girlfriend from leaving during the incident.

Prosecutors realized the evidence would not hold up in court and the charge was downgraded to misdemeanor assault and battery.

Back in June, Leal referred to Gordon as "psychotic." She initially was cooperating with authorities, but later "became unhappy with the criminal justice process" and wanted the case dropped.

Nick's former girlfriend sent a written statement that she didn't want to continue prosecution. She later sent a letter directly to the judge in charge of the case.

According to the document, Leal began to make "statements that indicated further or conflicting accounts of the original incident."

The court documents note that prosecutors "sought and obtained proof that sanctions requiring Mr Gordon to undergo a four hour Anger Management Course and a four hour Alcohol and Substance Abuse Course had been successfully completed prior to filing the notice of no prosecution."

It has been stated by U.S. Weekly that #NickGordon may face murder charges in the death of his girlfriend #BobbiKristinaBrown. The source ALSO states that the Georgia DA has created a secret grand jury with the intent of charging Gordon with Brown's murder.

It is not clear why Leal had a change of heart on proceeding with the case against Gordon.

Leal previously claimed she believed she could have ended up like Bobbi Kristina, who was in a coma for six months prior to her 2015 death after she was discovered in a bathtub with a cocktail of drugs in her system.

I love & miss you so much. RIH my angel.

Gordon has never faced criminal charges in Brown's death, but was found legally responsible for her death in a civil case filed by her estate. The judge ordered Nick to pay her family $36 million in damages.

Leal previously revealed that Gordon had accused her of sleeping with one of his friends during a night out drinking on June 9.

She claimed they began arguing and the altercation turned physical. Leal said Gordon held her down and punched her, refusing to let her leave. She claims the attack went on for six hours. Leal claims she finally grabbed a heavy candlestick and clubbed him with it in order to get away to safety.

Does Leal believe Gordon has finally gotten the help he needs to properly deal with his anger? Or did she drop the case because they have reconciled?
