Here's the REAL TEA on why Remy Ma & Nicki Minaj are Beefing!
Fans may be enjoying the awesome diss tracks coming from Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma, with many wondering about the origin of the feud between the two female rappers. There are rumors that their beef actually dates back to ten years ago!

There was speculation that Remy and Nicki had been taking aim at one another in diss tracks previously, but both appeared to shut down the idea. However, Remy's latest diss track leaves no doubt that the female emcee is targeting Minaj.

Remy Ma has quite the history of feuding with fellow female rappers, which includes Lil' Kim.

Remy's beef with Nicki may date back to over ten years ago, but Remy did recently claim that Nicki stole a line from her in a song. Remy originally believed that Nicki had her back during her time in prison, but later had a change of heart when she appeared to believe Nicki had copied her lyrics.

Nicki was recently featured on Gucci Mane’s new song “Make Love” where she appeared to call out both Remy Ma and Azalea Banks.

Minaj raps, “You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap/You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques/S, plural like the S on my chest.”

On the track, Nicki also raps, "Your career gon' be with Anna Nicole/Witcha dumba** face/She ain’t eatin' but I swear she got some bum a*s taste/Text her man like, “Dawg, how that bum a*s taste?”

Pay your rent! And stay in your bum a*s place/Oooohhh, oh you the qu-e-e-the queen of this here?/One platinum plaque, album flopped, b*tch, where?"

A day after Nicki's release with Gucci Mane, "Make Love",  came out, Remy proceeded to drop her track, "Shether", a no-holds-barred diss track about Nicki over Nas' "Ether" beat.

Remy Ma really went hard on Nicki in her new track "Shether", calling the "Anaconda" rapper out on guys she had sex with, suggested she uses ghostwriters for her songs, and Minaj's alleged fake derriere.
Remy even went there and addressed Minaj's split with Meek Mill, suggesting that Nicki hooked up with Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane and many more.

Remy raps, "You see, silly rabbit / To be the queen of rap / You gotta sell / You gotta get plaques. Stop talking numbers / You signed a 360 deal through Young Money, through Cash Money, through Republic / Which means your money goes through five ni**as before you touch it / Any videos, endorsements come out of your budget / Endorsements, tour and merchandise, they finger-fu*k it / You make like 35 cents off of each ducket."

She continues, "And I saw Meek at [NBA] All-Star [Game], he told me your a** dropped/He couldn’t f*** you for three months because your a** dropped/Now I don’t think y’all understand how bad her a** got/The implants that she had put in her a** popped.”

Remy Ma also called out Nicki’s longtime friend, Drake, and called Minaj an “A-list groupie.”

Nicki responded to the diss track by Remy by posting (and later deleting on Instagram):

“Powered by the Platinum certified ‘All The Way Up,’ Remy Ma and Fat Joe’s joint effort ‘Plato O Plomo’ debuts disappointedly at #44 on the SPS count. Its combined numbers on the chart came in at 11,158. As for the project’s pure sales debut, that figure sat at a shocking 7,978. Although, this was enough to lift its placing on sales-only chart to #25.”

Nicki also took a moment to remind Remy Ma that Beyonce named her the queen of rap. Minaj shared a video of herself and Bey as her song, "Nicki's Track" was heard in the background.

The caption reads, "I met this girl named Nicki, I guess you could say she was the rap queen.”

Daily Mail is reporting that Nicki and Remy's feud actually dates back to 2007, just before Remy was sentenced to six years in prison for shooting her female friend over money taken from her purse. Remy served out her sentence and was released in 2014 and is now focused on her rap career.

Remy claimed that she was supportive of Nicki Minaj and her success during the time she was locked up, but added that she was going to be a “problem” for Nicki once she was released. It appears she is living up to her promise!
