Nicki Minaj Sets The Record Straight On "Motorsport" Collaboration With Rumored Rival Cardi B
"Motorsport" was released last week and was soon followed by rumors that Nicki Minaj didn't realize Cardi B was going to be featured on the track. In addition, some suggested the two female rappers were dissing one another in the same song. However, Nicki has taken to social media to address the reports.

Minaj took to Twitter to hit back at the rumors, saying that she was asked to add Cardi to the song and signed off on it.

Nicki stated that the original version of the track only featured her and Quavo. She tweeted, "I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it. He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said ‘ok let’s do it’. The end."

Nicki stated that Migos was not on the original track and laughed off the rumors. "Migos weren’t even on it yet. Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe. Imagine me not knowing who on a song w/me," Minaj tweeted.

Minaj let it be known that any song she is involved with has to have her approval before landing on streaming services.

Many fans believed that Nicki and Cardi were going after one another on "Motorsport," especially after rumors circulated earlier this year that the female emcees were beefing.

Cardi B also addressed the rumors in her interview with Complex, jokingly stating that she could make out with Nicki and people would still say they were at odds.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper said, "I feel like people wouldn’t be satisfied if me and her were making out on a freaking photo, or if I was with any female artist. People just want that drama, because it’s just entertaining. When Remy and Nicki were going at each other, everybody was getting entertained, and I think that’s what people want. It’s just so annoying."

Cardi added, "What [expletive] me off is that people always want to talk about how, in the urban community, how we need to get along with each other. But these are the same people that want to see minority women against each other. They don’t do that [expletive] in Pop music."

Nicki was in agreement with Cardi and even posted a tweet from Complex that featured Cardi's statements from her interview.
