Jocelyn Savage's Parents Hire Legal Team To Fight R. Kelly: Allege She's Being Held In 'Sex Cult'
The family of Jocelyn Savage, one of the young ladies allegedly part of R. Kelly's 'sex cult', are showing how serious they are taking matters and have now lawyered up in their fight against the singer.

The Savage family have now hired attorneys Gerald A. Griggs and Leif Howard to assist them in having their daughter returned safe and sound. The 22-year-old aspiring singer went to live with Kelly at the age of 19, after meeting him backstage at a concert.

Her family is claiming they haven't seen her in nearly a year and are concerned about her health and safety.

Griggs told the media that they plan to contact R. Kelly's representative in an attempt to get Jocelyn back home. However, Jocelyn is insisting that she is totally fine and is happy in her current living situation with the R&B crooner.

The young woman spoke to TMZ after her parents went public with their allegations, stating that she is happy and not brainwashed.

Jocelyn told TMZ, "I'm 21, I'm about to be 22 in a few days and I just mainly want to say that I am in a happy place with my life and I'm not being brainwashed or anything like that. It just came to a point where it definitely has got out of hand. I'm totally fine. I'm happy where I'm at and everything is OK with me."

The 21-year-old was asked if she was being held against her will and replied, "Oh no, nothing like that. I've never felt like a hostage or anything like that." She said of her parents' accusations, "I don't really know what's going on with that. I'm very heartbroken over what's going on with this situation because it's getting to a point where it's getting too much. It's just not right."

Savage insisted everything was fine but also refused to respond when she was asked if she was allowed to come and go from Kelly's home. She also refused to reveal if she is still at Kelly's house in Atlanta, Georgia.

A friend of Jocelyn's is claiming that it was actually her own father, Timothy, Savage, that encouraged her to go live with the singer. Her father urged his daughter to take the opportunity to improve her singing skills, but had no idea that she would stay there for years.

Jocelyn has stated that she finds her father's statements to the media "embarrassing" and has begged them to stop trying to contact her.

She said in a second clip, "Dad, you know that everything that's going on in the media and on the internet, and what you have done is a complete disaster and you need to stop. Because right now I am fed up with everything you are doing. You are embarrassing me and the whole entire family."

She added, "So I would like for you - matter of fact I would love for you to stop what you're doing because I can't believe you even went this far. I love you to death but I need you to understand me. Please stop what you're doing. Please."

Cheryl Mack, Kitti Jones, and Asante McGee - who claimed to be former members of Kelly's entourage - recently described how they were treated when they went to live with the singer.

The three women revealed there are at least six women living in the singer's properties in Chicago and Atlanta. The women claimed, "You have to ask for food. You have to ask to go use the bathroom… [Kelly] is a master at mind control... He is a puppet master."

A lawyer for R. Kelly responded to the allegations, stating, "We can only wonder why folks would persist in defaming a great artist who loves his fans, works 24/7, and takes care of all of the people in his life. He works hard to become the best person and artist he can be. It is interesting that stories and tales debunked many years ago turn up when his goal is to stop the violence; put down the guns; and embrace peace and love. I suppose that is the price of fame. Like all of us, Mr. Kelly deserves a personal life. Please respect that."
