Rick Ross Reportedly Released From Hospital 4 Days After Being Found Unconscious
Rick Ross was released from a Miami hospital in the early hours of Monday, March 5, and is said to be "back home and recovering."

The rapper, born William Leonard Roberts II, was transported back to his residence early Monday morning and is reportedly receiving personal professional care from the comforts of his home.

An insider said, "Rick’s mom Tommie is a nurse, so she is well equipped to nurse her son back to health again. She’s waiting on him hand and foot."

The "Rather You Than Me" rapper was rushed to the hospital on Friday after a 911 call that reported Ross was "unresponsive" and "slobbing at the mouth."

The caller told the emergency dispatcher that there was a "person in distress [who] was breathing heavy and unresponsive." They also stated the person has a history of seizures.

It was initially reported that Ross suffered from respiratory issues caused by pneumonia, but TMZ later reported the 42-year-old’s hospitalization was a result of a heart problem.

The patient, believed to be Ross, was rushed to the hospital and treated for pneumonia. The rapper was then reportedly hooked up to an ECMO, a machine that that takes over the function of his heart and lungs. The report claims the ECMO treatment was a sign that Ross had suffered a heart attack.

Ross' reps and family denied the rapper was even hospitalized, although reports suggested he was on life support.

Rapper Fat Trel, who signed to Ross' label in 2013, confirmed on social media that Rick was hospitalized, but denied he was on life support.

Ross, who has a history of seizures, regained consciousness when paramedics arrived at his home and was reportedly combative with police officers that responded to the 911 call.

TMZ reported that Ross was admitted to two different South Florida hospitals over the weekend.

The rapper suffered two seizures in less than 24 hours in 2011 while traveling on an airplane. The health scare led to Ross making big changes to his diet and lifestyle, resulting in the rapper shedding 100 pounds.

In April 2017, Ross appeared on The Dr. Oz Show and explained how the near-death experience was a wake-up call to do something about his bad health.

Ross explained, "It’s a real bad sign when you wake up and [your mother is] there and, you know, she’s batting her eyes and…that’s the worst thing for me is to have my mom with that look on her face."

Ross adds, "So that made me feel even worse. I just woke up to a new reality. A reality where my lifestyle, me sleeping three hours a night, me eating T-bone steaks [at] 3 in the morning...caught up with me, and my body couldn’t take it anymore."
