Sanaa Lathan Shaves Her Head: Actress Goes Bald For New Film Role! — Photos
Sanaa Lathan has just debuted a totally new look, after shaving off her long hair for her new film role in "Nappily Ever After."

The 45-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a video of her shaved head. She actually looks great!

The "Shots Fired" star has been showing off a variety of hairstyles on social media as part of her role on the upcoming Netflix movie, which is based off the novel by Trisha R. Thomas.

The film follows a woman with a life that appears perfect - she has a great career, a doctor boyfriend, and gorgeous locks.

However, that all changes after an incident at the hair salon. Sanaa's character, Violet, realizes she was living the life she thought she was supposed to live, not the one that she really wanted.

Sanaa did the big reveal of her newly shaved head on Instagram. In the video she shared with fans on Tuesday night, Sanaa rubs her newly shaved head saying, "I'm just doing my reveal. It's all off. I feel like I'm so light I could just fly away."

Lathan is following in the footsteps of several other actresses that shaved off their locks for a movie role. In July, Kate Hudson made a shaved off her beautiful blonde hair for a new movie she's doing with Sia. Millie Bobby Brown shaved her head bald for her role as Eleven in "Stranger Things", and Natalie Portman shaved off her brunette locks for the movie, "V for Vendetta."

Haifaa Al-Mansour, who headed up the critically acclaimed "Wadjda," is on board to direct with Marc Platt, Tracey Bing, Jared Leboff. Sanaa is also a producer for the show. Benedict Carver, Vincent Cirrincione, and Mark Moran are also executive producers for the show.
