Gabrielle Union Takes A Swipe At "Crazy Lady" Stacey Dash [VIDEO]

“Birth of a Nation” actress Gabrielle Union did not hestitate to trash FOX News commentator, Stacey Dash, when asked about her recent comments on the #OscarsSoWhite controversy.

Union threw shade at Dash on the red carpet at Sundance, replying, "Who is that? Who’s Stacey Dash? Is she related to [music producer] Dame Dash? Was she on Roc-A-Fella [Records]? I heard of a crazy lady once, maybe last week, but I don’t know what her name is."

Union, who also stars in the BET series “Being Mary Jane,” had even more to say about "crazy lady" Dash.
Gabrielle said, "It’s like why there’s a need for ‘Birth of a Nation,’ and why there’s a need for the Country Music Awards and the ALMA Awards. If you don’t see yourself reflected in mainstream awards, you tend to create your own. Until there is no longer a need for that, I celebrate the ALMAs, the same way I celebrate the Country Music Awards, and the same way I celebrate the BET Awards and the Image Awards. The more that we focus on inclusion and a true representation of this country, I think that crazy lady will have less to say.”

Stacey, 49, was dragged unmercifully on social media after she called for the end of Black History Month and the BET Network that practices racial segregation.

During an appearance on the FOX talk show, "Outnumbered", Dash said, "I think it’s ludicrous. We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black.”

Stacey wrote on a blog post about being slammed in the media when Morgan Freeman said the same thing previously.

She posted, "When I spoke out on Fox News and on my blog about the need to get rid of BET and Black History Month, all the same usual Twitter haters came out of the woodwork to troll me and say all sorts of disgusting things about me. Well, if you’re going to call me ignorant, stupid, and an Uncle Tom, you need to be intellectually honest and also call out Morgan Freeman.”

Dash said Freeman also noted “that having a Black History Month is actually racist and a part of the problem in healing race relations in America.”
