Police Have Arrested Man Responsible For Murdering Toya Wright's Brothers!
New Orleans police have arrested a suspect in the killings of reality star Toya Wright's two brothers, who were murdered in the two 7th Ward last July.

Antoine Edwards, 31, was arrested on March 9 and charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Joshua and Ryan "Rudy" Johnson. The brothers were found shot to death inside a vehicle in New Orleans just after midnight on July 31, 2016.

NOPD homicide detective, Theo Kent, stated that they had received several tips from people that stated a man known as "Toine" or "Tweezy" was responsible for the killings. Edwards had reportedly bragged about the shooting.

Edwards was identified as the suspect that went by those nicknames and he was also picked out of police lineups from several witnesses. Edwards was also identified as being "in the area during the time the incident occurred and as the subject who produced a firearm and shot the victims in this incident."
The shooting was preceded by a heated argument outside of an apartment building that became so loud that neighbors began looking out of their windows. One neighbor, John Kemper, revealed that he heard voices across the street from his residence just after midnight Sunday. He witnessed several residents of a group of brick apartment buildings yelling at the occupants of a black SUV. "They were yelling down, looking at the car," Kemper said. "There was a commotion going on."

Kemper added that he went back inside, but then heard nine shots ring out. "When I looked back out, everybody was gone," Kemper said.

Police arrived a short time later to find Joshua Johnson, 31, and Ryan Johnson, 24, dead inside of a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox that still had the engine running.

Toya Wright, the sister of the two men and ex-wife of Lil Wayne, is breathing a sigh of relief that her brother's murderer has been arrested. She said in a statement, "All we want is justice for my brothers. We thank everyone for their prayers and support."

Edwards' bond was set at $500,000. He is due back in court May 7.
