SWV’s Coko Announces Divorce From Husband Mike Clemons After 15 Years of Marriage
Cheryl Elizabeth Clemons, better known as Coko Clemons, has announced that she is divorcing her husband of 15 years, Mike "Big Mike" Clemons. The 47-year-old Sisters With Voices (SWV) singer shared the surprising news with her fans on social media.

Coko took to her website to share the news that she and "Big Mike" had parted ways and are divorcing.

Coko told fans, "We always thought we'd be together forever! Through the good, the bad, the ugly, the ups and the downs...we'd still be married.  But, things don't always work out the way we plan or hope."

She continued, "After 15 years of marriage, my husband and I have decided to call it quits.  Our fairytale has come to an end.  I'll definitely miss him!  But life goes on and I have to make the best of it."

Coko and Mike met in 1995 when he was a drummer for her girl group, Sisters With Voices (SWV). The pair's grew close and their professional relationship soon turned romantic.

Mike, a Gospel producer and drummer for Israel and New Breed, tied the knot with Coko on October 19, 2006.

The couple recently celebrated their 15-year wedding anniversary back in October.

The couple have a 14-year-old son together, Jaylon Clemons. Coko also has an adult son, Jazz Butler, from her previous relationship with Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler of Digable Planets.

So true!! Drama free zone over here. Keep it to yourself.

Coko continued, "I wish him all the best in his future.  I pray that he will lack nothing!  For the sake of our son, we will do our best to co-parent.  We're not enemies, we're just two people that fell out of love."

She adds, "Life after divorce kind of scares me, but I have to be strong for myself and my son.  God got me and I'm surrounded by a great group of family and friends that hold me down.  My Village!!  I am blessed and highly favored!!"
