Taye Diggs Resents Black Women And Blames Them For His Dating Problems With White Women
Taye Diggs' recent interview is bound to set people off, after he admitted resenting black women that took issue with him dating white women. The actor claims the backlash has affected the color of women he chooses to date these days.

Diggs is upset that is previous marriage to white actress, Idina Menzel, led to him being criticized.

He stated, "I don’t wanna say I suppress [the resentment,] but I just watch it."

Taye appeared on an hour-long segment with “The Red Pill Podcast”, discussing his acting career and other topics with host Van Lathan.

Lathan brought up the subject of interracial dating and asked the actor how other black male celebrities are treated when they go public with dating white women.

Diggs has opened up before in the past about black women being angry over his marriage to a white woman. It made him upset because black women were actually his main supporters in the early days of his acting career.

"Ever any resentment towards Black women because of some of those attitudes?" Lathan asks.

Diggs replied, "Yeah, deep down inside. I don’t wanna say I suppress it but I just watch it and when it happens to you personally."

Taye went on to explain that he is worried he will be judged by his own community if he dates someone outside of his race.

He also admitted that he feels attracted to black women now and isn't dating women outside of his race.

"Even though you understand the logic, there’s logic there — I don’t know if I can mess with a white girl now."

#TayeDiggs was a recent guest on the “Red Pill Podcast with Van Lathan” and he spoke very candidly about the backlash he has received from black women for his dating white women. The award-winning actor likened his relationship with black women to a family member you love deeply, but you still “gotta deal with the bull.” Taye went on to admit he has resentment towards black women and that the backlash he’s received for so long has even impacted his dating preferences. "Yeeeah, deep down inside [there’s resentment]. I don’t wanna say I suppress it, but I just watch it and when it happens to you personally. ven though you understand the logic, there’s trauma there. Do you know what I mean? I don’t know if I can ever mess with a white girl now. I don’t like that. That goes against who I am as a person. I feel like I’ve had deal with that so long that is has changed what I think I like or what I’m attracted to. It’s not where my eyes gravitate to naturally. A lot of people would say, ‘Oh, I should feel relieved.’ It might be racist and I don’t wanna be racist. I’m not racist. I don’t want that. I wasn’t raised to look at someone’s race and be attracted to one race more than another." Taye Diggs is currently dating a black woman. Your thoughts? VIA @gossiptoomuch

Taye also blames his own mother for influencing the women he dates. He shared, "When I was 13, I was reading a magazine and there was a picture of a black woman and I said, ‘Oh, she’s pretty, I want to marry her.’ And my mom said, ‘Oh honey, you’re going to marry a white woman.’ It hurt my feelings but she was right."

The actor went on to explain, "I feel like I’ve had deal with that so long its changed what I think I like, what I’m attracted to. It’s not where my eyes gravitate to naturally. And a lot of people would say, ‘Oh I feel relived.’ It might be racist and I don’t wanna be racist — I’m not racist, I wasn’t raised to be attracted to one race more than the other."

His comments obviously didn't go over well with black women. Some fans weighed in on social media.

One woman wrote, "Dearest #TayeDiggs, Do you know how many beautiful black Kings have come forward in Hollywood since “How Stella Got Her Groove Back?” Directors, actors, the entire #BlackPanther cast. Hey Winston, M’Baku. We don’t want you. You’re not welcomed in #Wakanda either."

Another added, "@TayeDiggs why do u & men like u always need to justify where u are in life by blaming black women?"
