Terry Crews Shares His Story of Being Sexually Assaulted By Male Hollywood Executive In Front Of His Wife
Terry Crews has come forward with his experience with sexual assault amid the sexual harassment and rape allegations against Harvey Weinstein.

Crews decided to call attention to what he described as a power dynamic that keeps sexual assault survivors from coming forward or challenging predators.

The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" actor did not name names, but simply said he was sexually assaulted by a "high level Hollywood executive" at a Hollywood function in 2016.

Terry took to social media to reveal his experience and opened up about the situation in detail.

He went on to reveal that the Hollywood executive grabbed his crotch at a party.
The "Everybody Loves Chris" actor recalled the experience, writing, "Jumping back I said, ‘What are you doing?!’ My wife saw everything [and] we looked at him like he was crazy. He just grinned like a jerk. I was going to kick his [expletive] right then but I thought twice about how the whole thing would appear. ‘240 lbs. Black Man stomps out Hollywood Honcho’ would be the headline the next day. Only I probably would not have been able to read it because I WOULD’VE BEEN IN JAIL."

Terry revealed he and his wife Rebecca decided to leave the bash.

Crews said he went on to tell everyone he knew that had worked with the executive about what had happened.

Crews revealed the executive called him the next day to apologize, "but never really explained why he did what he did."

"I decided not to take it further because I didn't want to be ostracized -- par for the course when the predator has power and influence," he wrote on Twitter.

Crews continued, "I let it go. And I understand why many women who this happens to let it go."

Terry was afraid he could have been ostracized and not the powerful and influential executive.

Crews adds that it's not just a problem in Hollywood. "But sometimes you have to wait and compare notes with others who've been victimized in order to gain a position of strength," he said.

The actor adds, "Hopefully, me coming forward with my story will deter a predator and encourage someone who feels hopeless."

Crews decided to share his story on Twitter, hours after an explosive New Yorker magazine story alleged that Weinstein had raped multiple women.

The report included new allegations of harassment and other improper behavior by Weinstein.

A spokeswoman for Weinstein has denied the rape allegations in a statement to CNN. "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein," the statement read. "Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances."
