Tiffany Haddish's Comments About What She'd Do To Work With Bill Cosby Has The Internet Upset

Comedian/Actress Tiffany Haddish is the brink of becoming a bigger star after her breakout role in the box office smash film Girls Trip. While so many people seem to be pulling for her to get her much deserved success, many of those same people are disappointed after Tiffany made some unfavorable comments regarding wanting to work with Bill Cosby amid his sexual assault allegations.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, The Girls Trip star talked about loving the opportunity (if it ever came) about working with the Cosby Show creator.

"I still want to work with Bill Cosby," she said. "I don't care, I'll drink the juice. I'll drink the juice. I'll take a nap. I don't give a damn [laughs]. But seriously, I would love for him to play my grandfather in something."

Though Tiffany mentioned she admired Richard Pryor and fellow comedic actress Mo’Nique, her comments about Bill Cosby has Black Twitter pissed off and confused.

The career and legacy of the legendary comedian began a downfall in October 2014 when Comedian Hannibal Buress made the joke heard around the world.
While performing in Philadelphia (Bill Cosby’s hometown), he made fun of Cosby's public persona. In a bit he said, "Pull your pants up black people, I was on TV in the '80s… Yeah, but you rape women, Bill Cosby, so turn the crazy down a couple notches."

Four weeks later, Barbara Bowman, who first publicly accused Cosby of sexual assault in 2006, penned an op-ed in the Washington Post, Titled "Bill Cosby raped me. Why did it take 30 years for people to believe my story."

It then set up the opening of over 50 women accusing him of sexual assault. In June, a mistrial was declared in a sexual assault trial against him due to a hung jury.

See how Twitter reacted to Haddish's words Below:

In my opinion, Tiffany’s comments, even in bad taste show that she’s able to separate Bill’s character as a person and his professional expertise. We don’t know if Bill really did drug and sexually assault numerous women BUT If he did, that’s horrible.
What we do know is that he’s been in pivotal figure in changing the way that African Americans are depicted in television and film. He’s also furthered the careers of many African American actors and was a big influential pop culture figure.

While Tiffany shouldn’t have to apologize for her yearning to work with Mr. Cosby, she should definitely watch what she says next time and if she plans on giving another crass job, work on the delivery.
