Sad news for fans of Terrence Howard. It's with a heavy heart to report that the actor has been confirmed to be...

Terrence Howard is currently experiencing a career renaissance in the role of Lucious Lion on the hit Fox series Empire, but the actor indicated in a new interview that his current role may be his last.

Howard discussed his reasoning with Extra TV’s Jerry Penacoli at the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation in Denver recently. “I’m gonna give Lucious the rest that I have, then I’m going to raise my son. I was never as famous as a film actor as I have become now. I’m still trying to stay in the gem with the Cookie Monster,” the actor commented. In reference to his co-star Taraji P. Henson, who plays his wife Cookie Lyn on Empire, he joked, “When you got Taraji P. Henson on your coattail I’m like, ‘Am I still number one? Is this still my show?’”

With over twenty years in the business, Howard has gained recognition from films such as Dead Presidents, Hustle & Flow, Ray, Crash, and Get Rich or Die Tryin’. He received an Academy Award for Best Actor nomination for his work in Hustle & Flow, his first work with Taraji P. Henson. However, Empire is generally regarded as his popularity peak.

Rumors have also recently surfaced that the Empire co-stars are fighting. Henson had previously struck those rumors down, but Howard also took the time to deny them in the interview. “Never had feud. The only feud we have is who’s gonna have the weekend off? Who’s gonna work the latest on Friday?”

He also commented on rumors that he and his current wife are planning to divorce, just shortly after the birth of their new son. “I found my one,” he said commented. “If you meet your one, then it all comes together.”

In addition to his work on Empire, Howard is currently appearing on the Fox mystery series Wayward Pines. He will also be appearing in crime-thriller Term Life later this year.
