Xscape Announces First Performance In 15 Years In An Awesome Way! [WATCH]
The ladies of Xscape are back together and have just announced they will be performing together for the first time in 15 years at the 2017 Essence Festival.

They will kick off their reunion tour on Sunday, July 2. The popular 90's group made the big announcement on social media and showed off their killer vocals!

Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott announced their first show with a video posted to social media.

Kandi wrote in the caption, "People have been asking me for years when is @officialxscape getting back together & performing. Well it’s happening! Xscape is reuniting and it's all going down at #EssenceFestNola this summer! Head over to http://www.essence.com/festival-2017 to get your tickets! Spread the word!"

The group said in a statement, "We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the return of XSCAPE than in New Orleans with our fans at the world famous, Essence Festival. Essence Fest is so much more than a music festival, it’s a celebration of culture, music and entertainment. We are excited and honored to be included in an incredible lineup of artists and performers, including the living legend, Diana Ross!”

Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott are scheduled to perform at the Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, July 2. Other performers that day include Chance the Rapper, Master P, Solange Knowles, and many more.

Xscape was a platinum-selling R&B group that formed back in 1991 in Atlanta. The band broke up and reunited for several years, but appeared to call it quits for good in 2009.

This actually isn't the first time Xscape attempted to reunite. In 2005, the Scott sisters reunited with Tiny and brought in Kiesha Miles to replace Kandi Burruss for an album. However, the album never gained enough attention to be released to the public.

Xscape's debut album, "Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha," was the group's best-selling record, hitting the No. 17 spot on the Billboard 200 back in 1993. Two of their most popular singles, "Just Kickin' It" and "Understanding," also are off of that record. Three other songs managed to peak in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The ladies formed the group while in high school, but disbanded due to disagreements and tension in the group. After their split,  Kandi and Tiny landed a Grammy for writing TLC’s hit song "No Scrubs".

Kandi went on to star on Bravo’s "Real Housewives of Atlanta." Tameka Scott has had a few acting gigs on television, while her sister LaTocha Scott appeared on "R&B Divas: Atlanta." Tiny has starred on her family reality show, "T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle", with her rapper husband. The final season documents Tip and Tiny going through the divorce process.
