LeBron James' mom came to her son's rescue Monday night after the Cleveland Cavaliers' star took a hard foul.

After Celtics forward Paul Pierce wrapped up James in the second quarter of Cleveland's 88-77 victory in Game 4, the two fell into the first rows of seats, near James' mom, Gloria James.

In an attempt to tell Boston to leave her son alone, Gloria James yelled at Celtics star Kevin Garnett before her All-Star son intervened.

"I told her to sit down, in some language I shouldn't have used," James said. "Thank God today wasn't Mother's Day. All I could think about is her. ... I know my mother. It's fine, we're good."
